Reflection of English Lecture

About Language 

Monday, February 18^th 2012, we met with Mr. Marsigit. In this meeting Mr. Marsigit explain about 2 point. There are :

1.      About motivation

2.      About language

3.      About tense

The motivation is:

·         We are an adult people, so our communication is based on trust.

·         First, to study we must trust to our lesson and our teacher, be positive thinking.

·         Modal to study is unpretentious, don`t be arrogant, arrogant can remove our knowladge.

·         Language must be implemented in our life.

There are 2 component of language.

1.      Form

2.      Substance,

Form need substance, in our lecture the substance is mathematics education. If there is no substance its means nonsense, meaningless, and careless.

Tense,

To read- reading- read- read- (Irregular verb) means : membaca

Form chages based on the time context.

In the case of language. The important are structure, grammar, noun, adjective, adverb, preposition, and idioms.

Idioms (ungkapan ungkapan)

The form and means is standart/ permanent/constant.

Exp : Don`t let me down, it means don`t disappoint me. Not don`t let me down into.

And another, there are :

Look after       : memperhatikan

Look at            :memandang

Look for          :mencari

Look forward  :ingin akan

Look into        : memeriksa

Look out         :melihat lihat

Look through  :mengerti segala seluk beluk

Look Up          : membuka

And another verb like run, get and etc.

Adjective

Adjactive have level :

·         More               

·         Most

Exp:     beautiful, more beautiful, most beautiful.

            Difficult, more difficult, most difficult.

·         -er

·         -est

Exp:     big, bigger, biggest.

            Low, lower, lowest.

            High, higher, highest.

But, verb haven`t level :

Exemple : Study : very very study = i do study.

Open book                  opened book

Close book                  closed book

Because its language, have many rule.

structure, If any 2 verb gave on so the second verb is   +             ing

exemple: he stop smoking = means stop smoke

                he stop to smoking = means stop doing something, to do smoke.

The Rule Our Lecture

Monday, February 11^th 2012, we met with Mr. Marsigit, first time we meet in english lesson. In this meeting Mr. Marsigit explain about 2 point. There are :

1.      About motivation, and

2.      About the rule of our lecturing.

First, motivation.

In this lecture Mr. Marsigit drawing we likes this,

Mr. Marsigit is fasititator, so we can grow likes plant.

Mr.Marsigit doesn`t give knowladge, with traditional teaching.

And then, to get sucess, there are step to get it :

1.      Will

2.      Attitude

3.      Knowladge

4.      Skill

5.      Experience

If someone want to succes the first that must heven is will. Good will and strong will.

Second, if already have good will so must have good attitude like not arrogant, unpretentious, and always pray.

Then, have knowladge, So makes we have good skill and then finaly have many experience.

Second, about our lecture english.

There are kind of lesson :

1.      Test every week is about short answer (vocab daily english)

2.      Reflection of teaching process

The caracteristic of reflection is :

·         Understand the subject.

·         Tell again with our language.

·         Print and send to each blog.

3.      Oneline lecture web-blog based.

And make reflection of the article.

Mr. Marsigit tells that English is language, and language is life. So use it to life.

Try to speaking, understand,translate, and reflection.

From this article i know that in essence, education as mode to develop human and society. In the formal education strip, principle is same, develops capability that haven by pupil. Then, role of teacher as a fasilitator. All of teacher included mathematics teacher. Mathematics teacher should as a fasilitator that can develops capability of pupil with their various ability. Teacher can use a inovative method, various instrument and devaice with various intuision too. So, teacher not only teach with traditional method but also can fasilited pupil. And then, teacher must variebly and move to the better.
So, this article open my main and i hope in the feature if i were a teacher i wouid be a teacher that can realize what my pupil want. Aminn
